How Credits Work

Credit Basics

InterviewGlitch uses a credit system for AI services. Current pricing:

  • 1 credit = 1 minute of live transcription
  • 3 credits = 1 AI response (GPT-4o)
  • 1 credit = 1 AI response (GPT-4o-mini)
  • Credits reset monthly based on your plan

Note: Upload transcription and screenshot analysis features coming soon.

Credit Rollover

Depending on your plan, unused credits may roll over to the next month.

  • Free: No rollover
  • Silver: Up to 1,000 credits
  • Gold: Up to 3,600 credits
  • Platinum: Unlimited rollover

Credit Expiry

Credits expire based on your plan to encourage regular use.

  • Free: 30 days
  • Silver: 90 days
  • Gold: 180 days
  • Platinum: 365 days
Example: You're on the Gold plan with 2,000 rollover credits. You use 800 credits this month, leaving 1,200 unused. Next month, you'll start with 1,200 rolled over + your new monthly allocation. You can keep up to 2,000 total.

Getting Started Guide

Step 1: Download

Download InterviewGlitch for your platform:

  • Windows (64-bit)
  • macOS (Intel & Apple Silicon)
  • Linux (AppImage)

Step 2: Create Account

Sign up with your email address. You'll get instant access to the Free plan with 100 monthly credits.

Step 3: Configure Audio

Grant microphone permissions and configure audio input/output settings in the app preferences.

Step 4: Add Job Info

Upload your resume and target job description. This helps the AI provide more relevant responses.

Step 5: Start Practice

Press the hotkey (Ctrl+Shift+L) to start listening during a practice interview or meeting.

Step 6: Review Results

After your session, review transcriptions and AI responses in your dashboard.

Troubleshooting

No Audio Input

Issue: App can't detect microphone.

Solution:

  • Check System Preferences for microphone permissions
  • Select correct input device in app settings
  • Test microphone with system audio settings
  • Restart the app if still not working

Poor Transcription Quality

Issue: Transcriptions have errors or missing words.

Solution:

  • Reduce background noise
  • Speak clearly at normal pace
  • Check microphone isn't blocked
  • Update to latest app version

AI Response Taking Too Long

Issue: Waiting too long for AI response.

Solution:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify API keys are configured
  • Try a different AI provider
  • Contact support if issue persists

Hotkey Not Working

Issue: Global hotkey (Ctrl+Shift+L) isn't responding.

Solution:

  • Check if another app uses same hotkey
  • Restart the application
  • Check if app has accessibility permissions
  • Try remapping to different hotkey

Credits Not Updating

Issue: Credit balance not reflecting after upgrade.

Solution:

  • Log out and log back in
  • Restart the application
  • Check Stripe subscription status
  • Contact support@interviewglitch.com

Delete Account/Data

Issue: Want to permanently delete account.

Solution:

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Scroll to "Danger Zone"
  • Click "Delete Account"
  • Confirm via email verification link

Frequently Asked Questions

You can choose your preferred AI provider in Settings → AI Configuration. Currently available providers include OpenAI GPT-4o and GPT-4o-mini. Your choice determines the response quality, speed, and credit cost.

Note: Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and DeepSeek support coming soon.

Yes! InterviewGlitch works with any video call platform (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, etc.). The app runs in the background and captures audio from your system and microphone. Just enable audio capture in the app settings before starting your video call.

iOS and Android apps are coming in Q2 2025. Your account and credits will sync seamlessly across all platforms. You'll be able to practice interviews on-the-go and access your session history from anywhere.

You can increase your credits in two ways: (1) Upgrade to a higher plan for more monthly credits, or (2) Purchase credit packs from the dashboard. Credit packs start at 100 credits for $10 and offer bulk discounts for larger purchases.

We take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption. Your API keys are stored locally on your device, not in the cloud. Interview recordings are never permanently stored on our servers—they're processed and deleted within 24 hours.

Yes, you can export your interview history, transcriptions, and AI responses as PDF or CSV files from your dashboard. This is useful for reviewing your progress or sharing with a coach. Premium plans allow automated exports via API.

All paid plans come with a 5-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied within the first 5 days, contact support@interviewglitch.com for a full refund, no questions asked. After 5 days, you can cancel anytime - your access continues until the end of your billing period with no penalties.
